I've always wondered if cool guy was supposed to be a joke on the slenderman series. It uses a
lot of the same camera angles and shots, like under the bridge, in the park, the playground.

this video was released 13.1. 2009 on youtube by crumbnumber1
Slenderman was created on Something Awful about half year later and slendergame was released a
year ago
so I guess slenderman and slendergame were inspired by cool guy
