It wasn't that boring, in my opinion. I really liked it.
I'm really looking forward to Song of the Sea, which is being done by the same people who did
Secret of Kells.

a biased bullshit setting
Christians bullshit about how bad the vikings were creating a bullshit stereotype about how they
were awful barbarians, they did the same to the barbarians too, christian history is full on
bitch mode

first half was okay, second half was a letdown. I thought he was going to use the eye to defeat
the vikings but instead it's just used to draw some shitty art book. fucking pussy.

but the vikings were barbarians
and this movie is about christians being so goddamned stupid they all get fucking slaughtered
how exactly is that biased

Clearly he's unable to understand the reason behind the Christian overtones. The name of the
fucking movie should be obvious enough considering the Book of Kells is a real manuscript based
off an earlier iteration of the Bible.

>but the vikings were barbarians
You fucking knob
The barbarians weren't uncivilized, that's the entire point I was making, its a fucking like, the
vikings were not uncivilized and neither were the barbarrians
Rome/christianity was just butthurt about getting their asses handed to them

ok so there was a band of vicious scandinavians running amok. seems reasonable, as although the
"vikings" weren't uncivisilsed, they did seem that way to those they raided because they didn't
consider anybody ELSE to be civilised and threated them as such. so from the abbey's POV it's
reasonable to see them as hulking monstrous brutes.
but christian bias? there was an eldritch horror in a cave with a impossibly powerful microscope
for its actual eye lens.
there was a mischievous faerie.
an enchanted forest.
the main character was drawing fractals based on microbes in the end.
the most religious character was all but outright stated to be a basketcase of PTSD and paranoid
delusions.
where's the religious bias? for taking place in ireland, especially in that time period, IN AN
ABBEY, it's frankly astounding that the word "god" IS NEVER SPOKEN IN THE MOVIE.
what christian bias?

>what christian bias?
there really isn't any, there are just people who are hypersensitive to it because of personal
experiences with a religious friend or family member.
It's an animated fantasy piece.
