The robots there are biomechanical, if I say more I'll spoil it so I'll stop there. Anyhow the
original series was not like this at all, it was very, very, very depressing. In fact the
original ending for it was so depressing and cryptic the main director got thousands of death
threats telling him to finish the series properly and with a good ending. In response he made the
ending to the series a movie once the studio got the funding necessary.
If you haven't seen this series and its movie ending you don't know jack shit about Animu.

The video actually applied good timing with the scenes; more than can be said about a lot of
amvs. So many amvs rely on using flashy effects from After Effects or something, making the
colors change around and strobe, "matting" characters out of scenes to put them on other
backgrounds and other asinine shit.
This amv uses pure simple cutting/editing techniques.... thank god.

There is a reason they are non-integrated. The show's old enough that I don't feel bad dropping a
'spoiler' now : The giant robots aren't actually made by humanity, and are biological in nature.
They are pilotable due to humanity using invasive technology to turn them into controllable
weapons. The external rifles and such are humanitys fumbling way of 'equipping' them for
crazyhuge combat.
