highly addictive? what are you, gay?
>> [_] Anonymous 10/28/13(Mon)00:54 No.2159595
It's funny, because I play this game almost every day whenever I am waiting for something and
don't have time to play a "real" game.
It IS quite addictive!...even though it looks boring as fuck, I know.

No, it isn't, you just don't have a life. This game is bad and anyone who plays it should feel
bad.

this shit is impossible

It's just risk with simplified rules, bro. No need to sperg out. It's a classic game loved by
thousands.

Then why not go play that?

Sorry about your illiteracy, friend.

the game can either be won or lost on the very first turn due to the reinforcement rules giving
you "troops" right after your turn based off the amount of land owned in random locations
>> [_] Anonymous 10/28/13(Mon)01:37 No.2159625
>>2159617
It isn't the amount of land in "random locations." The reinforcement you get is equal to the
number of territories in your largest unbroken bloc. Hence the strategy of the game should be to
break up your opponents blocs without making your own vulnerable to being divided.
Sometimes you do start in an impossible position and have essentially lost from the beginning,
but that is actually somewhat rare. The AI is dumb enough that you can come back from even a very
large disadvantage, which makes the game somewhat fun.

I don't think you understand that it's stupid to have reinforcement before everyone's turn
>> [_] Anonymous 10/28/13(Mon)01:49 No.2159640
>>2159632
It's a handicap for the dumb-as-rocks AI. Go play a grand strategy game if you want, but don't
delude yourself into thinking those AIs don't have to cheat in order to present any challenge to
the player.
If you want to play a well balanced, non-deterministic, non-random game against a skilled
computer opponent, I guess you're stuck with chess.

You are false.
When I discovered this game like a year ago, I made a test to see how many times the computer
rolls a better dice on an even opposition. Like 5 dice vs 5 dice. And 87 out of 120 times the
computer won it. Try it yourself, you'll see that statistically computer got better chances of
winning the dice rolls. Which is kinda okay though, coz otherwise you can push your luck and win
the game so easily.

I can guarantee you that the person who coded this quick and dirty little toy didn't sit there
and write a RNG that could be "tweaked" to give better odds on some rolls.
But even if he did, that has nothing to do with anything I said, which was that the imbalanced
nature of the game is actually a benefit in that it adds some difficulty to what would otherwise
be a trivial task.

Indeed. The randomness of the dicerolls basically makes it a gamble, which is the main element of
fun in this game. Which is also why it's addictve, just like any other wager game.
