I never get these types of stories. Mainly because all I can think is that the person giving
their life up is just passing on their grief onto the dead bugger. And that's not a solution,
because nothing changed apart from who's alive and who's dead.

In these stories, death is a commodity, and not something that is absolute.
That makes reason and logic not really applicable the way people do it.
