I have this great idea guys! How about we make you type a Captcha in every five minutes to help
stop those spammers! Only assmad autistic faggots who fuck dragon dildos will get mad at this. It
only takes four seconds anyway, unless you fuck up or have a slow connection.
Ask yourself this. Did the addition of Captcha IMPROVE /f/? I don't think so. The board is the
exact same thing, except now you have Captcha, which RUINS /f/. It doesn't destroy /f/, but it
definitely makes it worse.

It's just so obvious.
It doesn't permanently destroy 4chan forever. I'm not saying that. It is irritating, takes up
more time than it should to comment on a flash or upload a flash, and contributes nothing to /f/
at all. I would like to see your perspective as well. What does Captcha contribute to /f/? ("It
helps stop spam" has already been disproved. That would take up too much bandwidth and we have no
botspam, only userspam.)

That's bullshit.
The time limit between posting is what does that, because it's an actual substantial amount of
time which is spent by the user by doing absolutely nothing, which encourages other actions such
as thinking about your post (which would make the time limit valid), whereas the captcha is 5
seconds of time spent solving the captcha and nothing else.
The captcha is not only a barrier to posting, it is a barrier to thought in general. The user
will spend 5 or more seconds thinking about the captcha, not his post.

No, that word means exaggeration. Comparing typing captcha to being stabbed IS a hyperbole, but
it's not what I meant. I just couldn't think of a better way of putting it at the time.

The fact is that captcha detracts fro the ability of all users to post, making futaba BBS
worthless in that it does not serve any purpose other than to make it take longer. Adding
features that only hinder users and serve no other purpose is worse than simply deleting the
board.

So much for taking the conversation to the high ground.
You showed up.
You looked around.
You liked what you saw.
And now, unlike countless others
You give back. Or needed to show shit off. Don't know, don't care.
You spent the time and trouble to post your vision.
Or your favourite fuck fantasy.
Doesn't matter. You still have not covered any cost.
Someone pays the bills.
You post here so you can be seen.
Not to make money, you knew that going in.
If you truly believe your content has value and is should be compensated, don't post here.
Ok, you provide the content. But you choose to do this. You choose to click on the link.

Things besides educational seminars and employment facilities can give value to society.
knishes, touhou, furfag flashes, hentai, gay porn, and pony flashes DO provide some value to
society. Seeing completely unfiltered "art" can give people a new perspective on life they
couldn't get anywhere else. It's also a decent way to get entertainment and have rudimentary
social interaction with a new group of people. I strongly believe /f/ does have some value.
It also speaks about your self-loathing that you would claim a place you voluntarily spend time
at is completely worthless.

I personally believe most of the whining is totally justified though.
Zeitgeist was a mix of shilling, but mostly posting content that was totally uninteresting to
anyone and simply inflamed people using a topic that very well belonged on /pol/.
>touhou
This board basically belongs to /jp/.
>renaming flashes
That is actually annoying for people who often filter content based on whether or not they had
already seen it.
>asking for sources
The entire internet has a tendency to chastise people that don't use Google. Although in the case
of today's Heavy Metal flash, that was more of a case of grouchy old dudes being mad that there
aren't enough grouchy old dudes on a website mainly visited by college students.

Spread over 2 flashes, there have now been about 300 replies.
Probably have a total of about 2 feedback messages sent.
If we had 300 feedback messages sent, shit would actually get done.

You are right, if things stay the way they are now, and the shitstorm about the captcha dies
down, you come out of this as a winner.
Provided you pay 20 dollars a year, or type the captcha, all the time.
You do, you want the whiners gone, because that is not to your liking, thus raising the quality
of the content presented to you.
You expect others to buy a pass or type captcha, instead of posting captcha free, to get the
whiners to leave.
With no moral backing, i Don't believe that your stance is in any way more favorable than mine,
thus i have no more inclination to consider yours.
