trying to think the best way to explain it.
Its fun and deffinitly worth playing if you think you're interested. Even if you dont know any
japanese theres enough english guides out there to help you learn how to play.
However it is something you can burn out on mainly because the combat system is very hands off.
As of the moment aside from managing equipment and formations and the logistical side of things,
the combat is more or less die rolling and you dont really even get to chose whos going to attack
what. As you can imagine this gets very frustrating at times. It can also get very intense though
because if one of your ships sink, they die. If you want her again you'll have to find her/craft
her (good luck with the crafting) again.

All in all it was a lot of fun for me and some of my friends. We'd play it like 6 hrs a day and
stuff. However a couple people in my group that play it (myself included) are on a bit of a break
from the game. However we havnt quite dropped it yet.
Its free to play with a cash shop for things that make the game nicer (more repair docks,
furniture items for your office, and things like that) but its not pay2win all. If you want to
give it a shot to try it out for a while, go for it.
You will need to set up a proxy to play the game however. DMM.com is weird like that. Just
download foxyproxy then serach for free japanese proxys, and setup a wildcard pattern
(*.DMM.com/*) for the proxy settings so it will only turn on when you use the site. (you may need
to temporarily disable it to log in, then turn it back on to access the game - you'll figure out
how it works after about a week or so of playing).

Single player campaign based. The only multiplayer aspect of the game is skirmish mode. Basically
it has some sort of algorithm to find other admirals near your level (and some above) and lets
you face off against their fleets. You get reduced experience, but your ships dont take fatigue
during these fights and you cant sink.
