I think K-ON was when kyoani starting doing the front teeth thing, which does bug me.
I watch everything. That's included a solid number of 'cute girls doing cute things' series. K-ON
was one of the least interesting in the category. At least Hidamari Sketch was heartwarming.

I have no problem with the art style, as a distinctive look is a good thing. But this generic
cutesy highschool chick shit is overdone and easy.
The same phenomenon happens in the US. Good shows like Young Justice and Firefly get canceled
because they cost too much. Networks want cheap, easy to produce comedy shows where they do the
same shit every week, like the Simpsons, Friends, or any fucking sitcom you can think of. It's
consistent, it saves money, and there are enough dumbasses out there watching the same shit over
and over that the network can keep going.
K-on is just the same shit as any other cutesy anime about highschool girls. Being noteworthy
within that category is like being the smartest kid with downs syndrome. Nothing to see here,
move along.
