I remember something like this. It kinda sounds like it's from Super Mario: Land of the 6 Golden

It's a song from Tetrisphere on the N64. I can't remember the name of the track, but it was from
a set of Gameboy style tunes that you had to unlock with a password. I can't remember the name,
but I hope that helps.
