FOUND IT!!!
It was an old game called Karateka. Seems it was originally made for apple ii (what i played it
on), but was ported to a bunch of other systems. I found some videos on youtube, but this is the
only one that seems to be from the original apple ii version. I definitely remember the classic
sounds and the 'hya-!' parts, hahaha, good times...
