So basically, my shareholders are happy when I have tons of production versus demand and the
price of oil is low, so I make hardly any money.
They get unhappier when demand outstrips supply and the price goes through the roof, causing me
to make gazillions of dollars.

Its simple, engineer an oil crisis and then burn people.

This game is awesome.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)08:36 No.987845
I think I just caused the Apocalypse. Not shocking, I think the game said I was the only group
with money by the end.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)09:43 No.987863
I caused global nuclear war over oil rights. I feel evil.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)09:50 No.987869
I lasted well into the 21st century despite my over production and (non-manufactured) oil crisis.
After the hippies had taken over Washington, I converted all of my plants to human oil
reclamation plants (?) which shot my production through the roof, but I couldn't bring demand
back up in time for a retirement ending.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)10:17 No.987892
I kind of assumed you would always cause nuclear war and that was the point (along with the other
ridiculous things such as human oil and the news events).
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)11:10 No.987914
the problem is you can't get past ~2170 because you cause the death to happen.
always with the MAD always.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)11:14 No.987917
I stopped caring before reaching 2100. I assumed that the game never ended since it stopped being
a challenge long before I stopped.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)11:26 No.987923
I managed to get well into the 23rd century by maximizing my land usage for the human burners and
not overproducing too much on the early drilling periods.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)11:57 No.987933
I'm such a monster...
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)12:30 No.987948
I had every piece of land covered in human burners, gazillion of mercenaries/soldiers, the
parties exchanging places every election year and me having control of them. Then I got the nuke
ending.
Unless there is some non-fail special ending, easy game is easy.

This is so biased and, not surprisingly, inaccurate:
It costs the same amount to drill offshore as it does anywhere else.
BIASED ONE SIDED OPINIONS DON'T FACT-CHECK?! I'M SURPRISED!
>> [_] Anonymous 05/26/09(Tue)12:33 No.987957
I missed the fact that you could bribe the government the first time, resulting in loss ~2040,
saying something like "You enjoy your retirement, as new better energy sources emerges"
I fail :D

It costs a lot more to drill off shore.

Pretty much true for how big American companies behave and how the government constantly sucks on
their cocks for cash.
