what death is a good death?

This is my greatest fear.
My breathing got shallow just watching this. I know it's just rats but this made me sad.

It's arguably not as bad as the mice getting eaten by turtles.

This is the most humane way to kill rats.

People who whine about killing wild animals are usually the ones who don't know shit about the
kind of stuff animals do to fuck up the eco system around them when left unchecked.
Same reason people who bitch about whaling are full of shit. Especially orcas. They're called
killer whales for a reason - they're assholes.

I have no qualms about killing wild animals, the problem here is HOW they were killed. My snake
likes to eat live mice, but I don't feel comfortable leaving the poor things to suffer so I
usually grab the mice by the tail and throw them really hard at my garage wall. It's an almost
guaranteed instant death, if not a knockout. After that I'll feed them to my snake with no
problems.
Prolonging suffering or intentionally invoking suffering is just cruel and nasty.

Stupid mother fucking retard. Doesn't mean that they needed to be slowly drowned or that this
needed to be recorded. He was doing this cause he's a sick piece of shit who wanted to relive
their suffering at any given moment

Or one blow of a hammer to the head - optional paper towels or shit rags
Twist of the neck if good worker gloves are handy
If someone has a fucking rodent pet cage then they had the money for simple shit like that

So basically you prefer splatter gore violent death with shrieking rats who will panic knowing
they're about to die and try to bite the shit out of you, in a slow, painstaking course of offing
them one by one with your bare hands like some kind of sadistic pain-loving executioner, versus
quietly dunking them in water and waiting for a couple of minutes.
Right.

if you have the time to put it in a fucking cage you have the time to snap its neck, god damn.

>>2270946
Throwing rats against the wall or something is messy and risks letting it escape or exposure to
whatever diseases it has. Whenever my cat won't put a catch out of its misery I scoop it up in
tupperware and drown it in the container. Then the only cleanup is dumping the corpse in a bush
and sticking the tupperware in the dishwasher.

Because the slow panicked death of drowning, and therein, suffocation, is far better than being
put down quickly.
Right

drowning them is a lot more suffering than a quick neck snap, jesus christ. I don't care if you
are going to make animals suffer but don't try to fucking act as if you are doing otherwise.

Dying sucks, so they won't like it either way. Plus my health and convenience is worth more than
any hypothetical preference that rats have. So the way that is easiest and safest is the way I'm
gonna dispose of rats, and that's drowning. Yes, I've had to dispose of enough rats that I've had
the time to try out different ways of killing them.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/14(Mon)07:55 No.2270963

How the fuck is rounding them up, something you still yet need to do with your hands, "safer" or
"easier" than a quick fucking smash or twist of the neck? You al-fucking-ready have them in your
god damn hands.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/14(Mon)07:58 No.2270965

Also, my original point there was also to the extent that its not fucking needed to record the
damn shit. Especially when it's using such a horrible method.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/14(Mon)07:58 No.2270966
>>2270963
See my earlier post. I drop tupperware over them after my cat has been toying with them for a
while. Even if I did have to catch them with my hands when you bash them against something it's
hard not to break the skin and get blood everywhere. It's too hard to get a good grip on the head
of anything but the largest rodents for neck snapping to be viable.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/14(Mon)08:03 No.2270968
>>2270966
Moderately reasonable and fair enough. Though if it's at that point I can't see how its an
inconvenience to kill it faster than drowning still
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/14(Mon)08:12 No.2270973
>>2270968
It's just more prep time. To bash it against something you need a thick bag that can handle the
impact and not let it escape if you do it too softly and leave it alive. If you have thick enough
gloves on to the point where you don't risk getting bitten then you can't really manipulate it
well enough to bash it. Plus, with either bags or gloves you have to throw them out or clean them
very thoroughly afterwards because rodents can carry all sorts of diseases.
At the end of the day, drowning is just filling the tupperware I've already caught it in up with
water, putting the lid on and letting it sit. It works for every size of rodent and I can pull it
off at 3AM when I have to go to work in the morning.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/14(Mon)08:18 No.2270976
Fucking gooks... Nuff said.. Hope one day you're put in a cage and have to fight violently for
another minute of your miserable life. Then some rat cunt waves at you when you take your final
breathe.

More fair points, can't rightly carry on an argument against that. Not when what drives my side
is probably due to empathy. Knowing how much it would suck to go out like that and all.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/14(Mon)08:24 No.2270979
>>2270978
I get it. Doing it the first few times sucks, but you do it anyways because rodents bring way
more problems than your feelings are worth. Eventually it just becomes another chore you do to
keep the house in order.
Recording it for fun is still a sick thing to do though.
