This is utter bullshit. The AH-64 Apache could have blown them to fuck from 5 miles away with a
hellfire and even if it did have to go guns, 30mm HE autocannon rounds would have fucked them up.

It's even more bullshit since you know, that cannon was designed to take out out thin skinned
vehicles and infantry. Even so the gunner would have had them zeroed from the first shot. he
might have even had a head shot, though with that heavy a weapon his target would have likely
been center mass.
The boy wouldn't have had time to turn around before his chest was equal to nutrient paste.
