Missile guidance systems rely on GPS. If the guidance system detects a variance in the GPS, it is
now on a path it knows it shouldn't be on, and must adjust its trajectory accordingly.
The "it knows this because it knows where it isn't" is a fancy way of saying it will take
continuous rapid measurements of its current position. As long as the missile is still where it
should be, it will continue as normal.
