It makes summer fags mad, even if they don't know why.
It clogs SWFchan with unnecessary copies of this flash (it's what you get for using lazy code).
It's guaranteed to get replies (also: INB4 "stop renaming").
It increases the chances of sparking a lively debate about nothing.
It decreases the chances of users ignoring it when they think it's something they've seen before.
It encourages other users to rename their SWFs.
It discourages summer fags from making shitposts in other threads on /f/.
It gave me a reason to list some reasons for doing something that would have otherwise taken
seconds.
The new name takes up a tiny bit more data-space than the old one.
Marblecake also the game (and at least it wasn't Potato Kinishes).
Marked for deletion (old).

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. As long as you don't modify the flash in any way besides the
filename, it recognizes it as a copy and just adds it to the list of other renames.
Troll renames/renames done on purpose to be funny (e.g. Takeo Ishii swfs) are all fine. The only
renames that piss me off are the renames that people do just because they think their title is
more suitable for the flash (one of the most recent ones I can think of is what_nonon_wanted_to_
say into Talk_Dirty)

ak-chew-well-lee, that's not true. swfchan saves swfs with one file and uses multiple names.

Yeah, but that's not that point. The point is, some guy probably downloaded it and renamed it,
thinking that his file name would make more sense than the previous one. It's a minor annoyance
at most, but sometimes a flash's filename actually plays a part in the actual flash itself (like
with that Nonon flash).

I dunno... I feel the new name is better as it reflects how terrible the flash is. Calling it
"What_Nonon_Wanted_to_Say" makes the user feel like there's a point to the flash when really it's
just "Talk_Dirty" pasted into a flash file featuring Nonon.

I love when shitters get mad at file renames.
Even more so because they cry at the fact that they might have saved it before and need to check.
Get a dupe killer already faglord mcshitstain, it is trivial.
Better yet, write your own using a simple script that checks the hashes of your files, store said
hashes in a file when hashed, it will only need to check against 1 other file now instead of
hundreds every time.

I can kind of see where people who get buttblasted by renaming is coming from. It gets annoying
after a while when the board gets unorganized and any link you click may be just another renamed
flash.
It gets misleading, i dont care with the Takeo Ischi renames, its just supposed to be funny. And
the /a/ flash once named Get down which is now called Get down on it, small changes like that,
nobody really cares. But giving an entirely different title to a flash after your own opinion is
something different once again.
