As beautiful as this work is, it's kind of hard to stomach after the composer has implied in
various interviews that 9/11 was worth it if this was the result. Or that somehow the universe
actually made 9/11 happen just to give these songs their poignanticy. I know he's since said that
those statements were just a part of his grief and everything, but they color how I'll view it no
matter what, personally.
