My first guess is to make that grid look like the number 3 from a six-sided die.

You have to make it so the green lights on the dice thing light up like an X. So make sure that
the corner lights and the center are green. Then you get the red gem.
Yeah, I dunno how the hell the slip of paper relates to that puzzle.

Just beat it. Crossed 5 + dice mean that you need to make 5 (like in dice on grid). It will give
you 1st gem. Key in hole goes to keyhole to open rock, behind which there is statue with 2nd gem
that you need to chisel out. Third gem is in ground next to statue with rocks on ground.
