Face it, Violence is the Centerpiece of Human History. Without conflict, we would never have
evolved, as there would be no need to change the status quo if things were optimal. Humans are a
Violent species, and he who best employs that violence wins. Bar none. Even the governments of
today understand this when dealing with their own people. The definition of a State is a
Governing Body with Legitimacy and a Monopoly on Violence within their Region.

Don't get started on states. States are responsible for more deaths than lone gun toting nutbags
by several orders of magnitude. Even if you believe that most of the government killings are
justifiable, the remaining figure still blows away what any population of private citizens could
do in a hundred years.
Guns are truly dangerous in the hands of those with orders to kill. Private citizens are never
ordered to kill, and are the safest place you could put a gun. Most people are genuinely good,
and will only do bad things when following orders.
