North korean missiles are hilariously inept, nor do they have a nuclear program.
However, if they did fire off 4 nukes, say of Chinese orgin, we would still be well protected.

Using the open architecture of The Aegis battle system, the Sea-based X-band radar (SBX-1) can be
data shared with every single Aegis equipped ship in Americas asininely large navy. Using this
data (and the data from other various fuckpowerful AN-SPY ship based radars), we can use the
stupid as fuck Standard missle family (sm-2...sm3...etc) to kill the missle in all levels of
flight. Keep in mind this is just ONE part of our missile defense (things like THAAD are not
considered.)

The Standard missile 3 (sm-3), to put it simply, is fucking amazing. Per ship, they have a 2,500
km range. Yes, 2,500 km. They use pure kentic energy to impact the target going about 4.5
kilometers a SECOND, can do it exo atmospherically, and do it extremely accurately. To put it
into perspective, it hit a satellite, head on, as it fell uncontrolled to the earth. No, thats
not all, it not only hit it at a closing rate of mach fucking 14 due to it being head on, it hit
a certain PART of the satellite (a fuel tank, so it wouldn't pollute muh earth). Keep in mind,
this is in LEO, which nukes do not go into, this is outside of its mission.
The average US ship can carry 96 of these.
