I just watched this series for the first time a few days ago. I was good I really enjoyed it. But
I have to say I feel like Madokas ultimate solution didn't really accomplish anything.
Sure magical girls no longer turn into witches and she stopped that super powerful witch, but
magical girls still struggle with their personal demons until their soul are too corrupt to be
purified. Now they disappear without a trace leaving their loved ones wondering what happened to
them instead of becoming witches.
The wraiths actually seem worse than witches. Sure witches caused the occasional suicide and
fought with magical girls but they fought in self defense because the magical girls were actively
hunting them. Wraiths on the other hand seem demonic in appearance, are openly hostile, cause
curses and appear to have a significant advantage in numbers.

Continued
Homura even says after the credits that the new world is pretty much fucked for sure and that
she's only still fighting because she still has feelings for Modoka and knows that Modoka would
want want her to fight.

Thats the contract you make QB. In return for getting a wish fulfilled and fighting monsters -
you know have to deal with the corruption caused by suffering.
Remember QB is actively harvested the suffering of these girls (ow, the edge). If the girls
weren't suffering, QB would be out of job.

That was the deal in the original universe, but not the case in the Law of Cycles universe. The
Incubators are no longer harvesting the girls' grief but rather the curses left behind by the
wraiths, the less potent suffering of humanity as a whole.
The girls suffer but not as a goal of the Incubators. At least until Homu's screw-you-all gambit
in the movie...
