I know you're being sarcastic but Wind Waker was made during the cel shaded graphic craze. The
technique for making 3d cel shaded graphics had just recently been discovered/created and many
video game designers thought it was the graphical style of the future including Shigeru Miyamoto
who both jumped on the band wagon and like other video game designers at the time and thought cel
shaded graphics were better since it allowed him to more easily make a more expressive Link
thanks to a cartoon like graphic style.
