I really don't know what can be done to make most song dubs "good". More often than not, it just
seems....'off'. and 9/10's of the time I really don't know why. I hear the same "off-puttedness"
in English-to-Japanese dubs.
...and I just never can figure out what it is...
Some do come out well though, like 99 Luft Balloons/99 red balloons; I really liked the
Goldfinger cover on it.

But then again, English and Deutsch are so close to each other they're easy to translate (hell,
English is nothing more than an evolution of Deutsch anyway).
I guess with the changing of grammar and words to fit the tune, something is bound to be lost
anyway. Hell, even in literal translation, the original 99 Luft Balloons would be "99 Air
Balloons".
