I am a huge fan of Garfield. I discovered these a long time ago, but they still get me. The
smartass cat kind of masks how fucking sad John's life is. Even sadder when you realize that the
guy writing these comics is John, and the character is based on himself and his cat.
These are called garfield minus garfeild for anyone out of the loop. There's also another version
where they just add in a normal cat to the frames. So John is talking to a normal cat that's just
sitting there.

I think the parts where he's acting all silly which makes it seem 'sadder' make it seem funnier.
