It was a look into the insanity of the creator's mind. An insanity so somehow coherent and
incoherent at the same time his creation is still regarded as one of the best classic Animes ever.
Evangelion is one of those shows where you need to find your own meaning in it.
The fact that we are still discussing it 15 years later just goes to show how impactful Eva was
and is.
And for what it's worth, the reboot is much better, in both art and story. I highly recommend it,
even if you dislike the original.
