My friend raised a cat from the time it was a baby and it never once pulled that kind of shit. To
this day it was the only cat I've ever met that wasn't a completely unstable temperamental
asshole. The only time this cat would claw you is if you didn't pet it enough. Even then, she
would just put her paws on your arms/thighs and flex her claws to get your attention until you
rubbed her belly.
