What is this, 90s elementary school liberalism indoctrination? The rain forests should've been
burned down 50 times over by now and South America should be one big barren wasteland according
to what these people were saying back then. The same people who believed that oil came from
dinosaurs and we'd run out within 10 years.
If you want to worry about something running out, worry about food. At the current rate of
population growth you have about 40 more years before people are starving simply because there's
no food as we'll have reach the maximum potential for food production through traditional methods
- and this number takes into account expected improvements due to GMO and such.
