This sounds like a southern preacher. What was he railing against originally? Jews, Niggers, or
Muslims?

it is an allegory for the treachery of the Jew and why they are destined (by God) to continue
wandering the desert. It is in their nature to backstab people who try and help them

Racism, man. It's a confirmation bias sort of thing - If you're willing to hear it, you're
willing to hear it from anywhere.

Great counterpoint.

Okay, so not only the fact he's using a fairytale a reliable source for anythings completely
stupid, but he also got the short, simple tale completely wrong
Th tale is not about untrustworthy people, instead is about being what you was born to be, even
if it's a bad thing, and how pointless is denying it. All in all it says that doctors heals,
politicians lies, thieves robber and so on, and they will keep doing it to the end of times.
A dark moral for sure, but nothing about the wrong kinds of people, actually, is pretty much the
opposite of it.
Counterpoint good enough for monsieur?

Where do you get that from? To me it always seemed that the moral was not to expect things to go
against their nature, therefore showing kindness to something in the hopes that it'll go against
it's nature and reciprocate is dumb. There's an identical tales about a farmer sheltering a
viper, which then kills him because that's just what it does. His kindness was pointless because
the nature of the beast is to do him harm, and therefore his effort is wasted by its inevitable
betrayal.

The one with the farmer plays a moral side. with the gentle farm trying to tame the beast.
Whoever, in the frog/turtle and the scorpion there's no moral allegory. The final line of the
scorpion implies there's no such thing as bad and good in this situation, he's a scorpion, so he
will use his poison, contrary to the farmer one that don't have anything about his intentions (he
also died), but about doing the only thing he knows, just like the frog was also doing
