  I wish horror videos would attempt to mimic the experience of insanity instead of the experience
  of watching with a bad codec.

  Sudden loud sounds and quick unrelated visuals and emotional dissonance in characters are
  unsettling, but because that's the experience of going crazy, not because that's the experience
  of watching with bad editing and encoding.

  audio glitches, static, zoomed pixelated visuals, reversed colors, and reversed audio just
  reminds me that I'm watching a computer monitor instead of anything real.
