Both humans and monkeys are primates, but we aren't monkeys. So of course it's going to sound
silly if he says monkeys are making wars and arguing philosophy because monkeys don't and can't
do those things. They aren't intelligent enough or lack the emotional self-control to do many
things that humans can do.
This is like seeing the abilities and beauty of horses and saying, "they're just donkeys but they
think they're special. They call themselves horses. Donkeys running in races... donkeys being
ridden by acrobats in the circus...."
Even though donkeys and horses are part of the same evolutionary tree, donkeys aren't horses and
can't really do many of the things horses can do.
