There is a guy named ZUN.
ZUN has made 14+ bullet-hell shoot-em-up games since the mid 90s, with almost all the characters
being cute girls. These games are pretty good for bullet hells, and the music is very popular in
Japan. The girls are the biggest attraction, though.
99% of the content is produced by the fanbase. Touhou, as far as I can tell, is the single
largest, most active fanbase in Japan. The Touhou project has inspired tons of music albums,
comics, porn, fiction, and popular, memetic videos online.
