The original series is anything but a children's cartoon. Granted, it isn't explicit or

I remember watching this in non-subtitled Japanese on the International Channel. I was a high
schooler kind of obsessed with Dragonball, and I didn't have anything else to do for that half
hour.
I remember the line "Raito, raito, refuto, refuto,..."
I never would have guessed anyone would ever want to translate this into English.

right, but it was so simplistic and slow that how could it be for adults? no one ever made any
difficult choices, there were no complicated discussions, and everything was always
good-guy-vs-bad-guy.
it might be sorta violent in a cartoon way and have poop and boob jokes and a character who's a
pig or something but . . . oh yeah, that's all just evidence that it is definitely a slow kid's
cartoon.
