  Water and Calcium Carbide (CaC2). Stuff they used to use in welding.
  Every soviet kid ever would find plenty of that stuff just piling around on old construction
  sites and play around with it.
  It makes combustible acetylene gas when in water. Take a lighter to the bottle with this mix, the
  flame melts the bottle and hits the gas - bottle go boom.

  I don't see kids doing it nowadays. Either welders use something else nowadays, or kids just lost
  their taste for explosives.
