Never actually seen an extended shot with the shockwave moving out. Footage like this never fails
to disturb me since that was low teir compaired to what all the major powers have.
Just don't duck and cover or whatever finds your remains in a few million years will think you

I sometimes go to sleep in genuine fear of these weapons.

Not him, but duck and cover is generally a pretty good idea. If you're within two miles of the
detonation you're instantly fucked. 3+ miles out and you have a decent chance of survival. "Duck
and cover" is to protect you from the major immediate sources of harm in such a situation (heat
flash from the fireball and glass flying from windows broken by the shockwave)

goddamit. Now I'm gonna have fucking nightmares about this shit again.
EVERY fucking time I watch one of these things, I start having dreams of hearing the air raid
siren going off, and struggling to find some sort of shelter.
So here's a 'fun' game to play. Get a map of your town or state, find the local strategic spots
that are most likely to get hit, and then plot out how far the blast radius goes, and if you're
truly fucked or not.

And where do we go for an accurate detail of potential targets in any particular country so that
the blasts can be plotted out?

We have

But what about the most likely targets?

Usually any active military base,
or actual working silos.
Mostly at this point I think the worst we may get is something from north korea, so mainly stuff
along the west coast.
But back in the day, when it was Russia, pretty much anything and everything that was military
was a target.
And major cities as well.

Something from North Korea? I may as well plan for death by butterflies then.
