I think the way the game works is:
1) play fruit (can play +1 if same fruit)
2) then play pie (note the ingredients on pie)
3)draw cards
4) repeaat till over
now this part I am iffy but I think it is:
5) cards go backwards and stack and if the pie can be made with the fruits that are collected,
then you get a point
and each point, yadda yadda yadda strips girl, bla bla bla

I think I got this.
The fruit/ingredients that you play are each added to a communal pile. Whenever you put down a
pie card, if there are at least that many of each, you get a point.
The '13+' pie seems to wipe everything out. The blue potion ingredient is a wild card.

Something along the lines of picking an ingredient, then a recipe with that ingredient and
clicking the bake the cake or recipe button.

ok I think I figured it out
you throw ingredients and maybe recipes on the stack, but you want to play the recipes you can
get as late as possible
cards played get pulled back out in the same order you played them, so you should keep an eye on
what ingredients she plays as well
if one of your recipe cards gets pulled and there happen to be enough ingredients out when it got
pulled you get a point. It seems like if you have the missing ingredients in your hand you can
play those and get the point anyways.

recipes as you draw cards.
