Very simple actually, it finds out where it is based on how far away it is from where it needs to
be. it basically asks itself "how far away am i from my destination?". It happens to do this many
times a second, so it can determine the direction it needs to go by subtracting error. Say it
travels in a straight line for a second and determines that it is farther away from its target
than before, it will then change direction until distance is being subtracted.
