This generation was fed this horrible ideal of "twu wuv", and now we have people getting married
to people they've only been dating for a year and then getting divorced a year later and we're
surprised that it's happening.
Everyone is quick to blame men, women, the media, the parents, etc, but no one wants to fucking
own up and take responsibility for their own shitty decisions. Not to mention the fact that
divorce and custody laws are fucking archaic. My sister had to hire a PI just to prove that her
ex was smoking crack around her children, as if the children telling the police "My Dad smoked
crack in front of me" wasn't enough to warrant a police investigation. [then again, this was in
Alabama and her ex has connections to the police, so...]
That's another thing. Why do we never talk about how fucked over kids get in the divorce battle?
It's always about Mommy or Daddy's fucking issues, never about the ones being most affected by
it. Not every divorced couple has kids but a lot of them do and everyone just shrugs their
fucking shoulders when the kids turned out messed up because one or more shitty parent couldn't
be fucking civil. Makes me utterly sick.

something that can be angled so that it supports two sides (or more) of an argument doesn't
magically become irrelevant. thats usually how discussion happens, someone says X about something
and someone else goes "well have you thought about it this way" and explains how X looks from
their point of view
people that refuse to see things from different points of view i find are the most scary. they
have made up their mind and are closed off, completely believing that they are good and anyone
with a different opinion must therefore be evil. those people are dangerous and can do really
fucked up things because they know justice and what's right is on their side.
