this is grimly true.
I miss the days when I just got ranked and started out as silver 4. Back then if you played on a
team with friends you played the game for fun and didn't really give a shit if you won or lost.
You could easily become better at shooting and other teams were easy to defeat.
As you ranked up into mid to high gold novas things got a little more serious, gameplay wise and
cooperation with your team. You realize you are not the best awper in the world and you have to
really try to come out on top. The higher and higher you climb the more you notice weaknesses in
your abilities and start practicing them with deathmatch rounds before competitive. The game is
still enjoyable because it's a mix of fun and seriousness, which is what a comp shooter should be.
AK and DMG is a different story. Your team becomes a bag of dicks and get really fucking pissed
when you lose and sometimes wont invite you if you don't match their capabilities. Shit is hard
as fuck and matches become stress inducing with almost every single one ending with a 14/16 round
score. Every match you meet someone who is better at you with your best weapon. Im not saying
it's not worth playing at that point because you get the greatest feeling when you clutch a game
and shit like that but it's all just a different game entirely compared to when you first started.
