if one engrish scene is enough for you to drop an anime you probably haven't finished many shows

looking at it from their perspective, English pronunciation must be truly baffling. The five
Japanese vowels each make only one sound, whereas English vowels can take on any number of
sounds, or no sound at all, depending on the situation. Japanese vowels are pronounced purely,
without the implicit diphthongs that English speakers often employ. Plus there are schwas,
coloration etc. adding to the confusion. Unless a nip has spent a lot of time just listening to
native English-speakers, she would have a very hard time guessing how to pronounce a word
"naturally." And that's without even mentioning consonants (lack of "f" and "th" sounds,
difference between m, n, ng, etc.).
