that's because it does get worse every year. summer's a myth, you get shitposters all year round
from news stories, word of mouth, and just people who randomly find a hotlink from here. As more
and more users take up the site, content becomes more homogenized, and with that population comes
a weird self-aware tone to the site where people think they're being trailblazers by openly
complimenting someone's dank meme. the more popular the site becomes, which will happen naturally
over the course of time (because for some weird reason 4chan is the one website in the world that
actually got *more* famous the longer it existed), the more saturated content you'll be getting,
with the quality:shitposting ratio ever tilting towards the latter.

do you know what the deal with the post limit is these days? for years it was 3 flashes every 24
hours, then they dropped it down to 2, and now there is no limit? I posted like 5 flashes in a
row the other day just to see when I'd hit a limit and I never did
it's only a matter of time before the zeitgeist and furfag spammers catch on again

It gets confusing (i think especially for oldfags, it changes so often and cpriciously)
It is now...
* 10MB size cap (was previously 8, 7... wasn't it like 4MB way back when?)
* 2 posts visible on board cap
(when one purges, you can post another - no daily cap)
* 24 hour cooldown for flashes posted
(THIS ONE seems broken - or just lame - the server doesn't track the flash's cooldown with a
timestamp, it just resets its internal blacklist at midnight. )
