A socialist world republic will never work as long as its run by humans.
Even if the law is kept by machines, and all of the administrative positions that people have
abused in the past were run by machines, people can still make those machines do what they want,
one way or another.
It's the nature of the human animal to seek personal advantage over others. Nobody can change
that.
What would you even hope to accomplish by unifying all humans under a single flag? Faster
scientific advancement? Space exploration?
Do you even know how ridiculous that sounds to someone with any knowledge on the subject?
We can't leave the Earth. We die like fish out of water. There's no way to stop it. We don't know
why and we can't solve the problem.

It will never work as long as it has to compete. What killed the Soviets wasn't their own
failings, but the successes of their enemies. If the Socialist World Republic existed, it would
work just fine. No need to constantly throw every dime into ICBMs and a huge military.
