ive been here since 2007 and the board is going up and down in post count all the time. there are
a lot of lurkers also, i was one myself in the beginning. posting a jpg is easy, but not a lot of
people have swf files stored in comparison. also how much can be said about a flash really? two
or three comments and there aren't much more to say most of the time. it's not like on /b/ where
each thread has a topic, here we discuss and comment on the flash. most people have nothing else
to say except when they are requesting source, and then efter that is given the thread will dry
up and die.
of course /f/ has a low amount of lurkers/posters compared to /b/ since many are more interested
in images rather than flashes. but to say that only a few is here on /f/ is not correct.

ok, apparently there are a lot of new people here in this thread.
first of all, 4chan's /f/ is the biggest. most flashes, not all but most, come here before on any
other chan site. i know that i post all my flashes here first.
secondly, you never "steal" or "rip of" stuff on the internet. everything is connected, you laugh
about something over here that came from ytmnd that really came from somethingaweful. and
something that came from here on somethingaweful, etc you get my point i hope. you don't make
something for one site, you make something for people, and people get around.

thirdly, this is old. it was posted on /f/ before 2007 (in it's original form i mean). here's the
true story (what I know for a fact): first we had trip.swf, I don't know where that came from all
those years ago. then someone made a VIDEO of trip.swf and posted it on YouTube while singing to
it. then someone downloaded the flv from YouTube and put it in a swf and posted it here on /f/
(meaning it was originally ). then, after some weeks, someone decompiled the original trip.swf
and extracted the audio from the video and put them together. in this version he painted the car
white for some reason. then a proper version came out, this one, where the car is red and the
quality is good.
it was not "ripped off of 711chan". also "faggot" is spelled with two "g". "fagot" means a bundle
of sticks, and i dont think you meant that.

in the flash.
But yes, Silverman made the build engine for Duke Nukem 3D (and Shadow Warrior).

Whenever you decompile a flash using the widely available tools, it sometimes screws up shapes.
So the car wasn't painted white, it was actually missing all of its shape data, leaving only the
white background behind.
This one was made by using Flash's built-in Import feature, which sucks in its own way (all
layers are flattened into one layer, and every frame becomes a keyframe), but doesn't screw up
the shape data.

I agree. I wish more people posted replies in /f/ about what they just watched or played or
fapped to.
Personally, the thing that bothers me more than non-posters are the crap SWFs. Not the content --
that's for each of us to decide. By "crap SWF" I mean the ones that started as SWFs, were
converted to YouTube videos and then downloaded from YT and stuck back into SWF form.
Clean smooth lines are fuzzy. Blocks of pure color shimmer with jpeg artifacts. And you deny
someone the ability to remix the content because the content of the SWF doesn't exist anymore.
