I grew up with German dubs, always liked it and although I mostly watch in Japanese now the dubs
still don't bother me today.
I've watched Anime in Italian and French before too, but the only language that I'd really
consider cringeworthy for Chinese Cartoons is English.
...Probably has to do a lot with what shows you've seen though.
I pity the Naruto generation. I can understand they would feel the way you guys describe.
