I admit, I'm too new to remember this. Why did someone do this kind of goodbye message for 4chan
at 2006?
>> [_] Anonymous 09/21/15(Mon)14:35:10 No.2909461
damn, this is depressing

I don't really remember the specifics, but something very bad happened around that time that
caused 7chan to be created, and a lot of /b/tards moved there.

If I remember correctly Party van rolled on by because someone tried to mess with football back
in 2006. Today was my first day on 4chan in about 3 years, and I come back to this news. I don't
know how to feel

Welcome back anon

Right in the nostalgia feel ;_;
I still remember the long wait for it to go up only to discover it runs on DELL now.

why didn't you come back for the news when moot left

Damn all these post make be fucking depressed, but at least I get to remember some good shit of
the internet.
Too bad good things never stay, it was in the rules anyway we saw it coming.
>> [_] Anonymous 09/21/15(Mon)15:37:46 No.2909498
/f/ is probably the last place that retains somewhat of a semblance of 4chan.

/f/ will be the last bastion, that final rope that connects past and present 4chan culture as
long as it stands. and not just 4chan, /f/ and flash in general is such a big part of early
internet culture.
fuck man.

Forced anonymous bullshit when nobody gave a shit about anonymous discussion or its merits, /b/
day, raid kiddies getting beat the fuck out, 7chan being created, all the shit kids running off
to it and DDoSing the boards, 7chan getting DDoSed back, etc.
Few months go by, 90% of those faggots sadly came back and moderation died down again.
The year 4chan truly died.
We have been posting on a ghostsite all these years.
>> [_] Anonymous 09/21/15(Mon)16:47:07 No.2909528
yall are a bunch of queers, /b/ has always been bad and isn't the only board, and the creation of
any other chan board is just hipster shit.

/b/ was good in a "friends watching a shit film" good.
/b/ was the board everyone went to when they were bored and waiting on replies on other boards.
Then raid faggotry happened and ruined everything.
Then forced anonymous happened and ruined it even more.
Then moderation went invisible, and completely slayed it.
All in the space of a year. 2005 summer to 2006 summer is the worst thing that happened to 4chan.
But moot was the one that let it happen by giving up.
He could have saved us.
But he told the mods to calm things down.
He was the one that listened to that shit cunt shii.
He was the one that made the conscious decision to add invisible moderation.
He was the one that championed anonymous discussion faggotry on a site where 90% of its community
never wanted.
