Parents that do this are fucking aggravating. If learning the exact truth is important, use your
own brain to figure it out, don't rely on a child to fucking rat himself out and socially hurt
himself and then make him feel terrible when you call him a liar.
This is EXACTLY like handing a heavy weight to a child, then making him feel bad when he drops
it. "Oh that's terrible. Looks like you somehow learned to drop things. What a wicked child. Good
children have strong arms and never drop things."
Giving an accurate report of events precisely without any fabrication is A DIFFICULT SKILL TO
LEARN it is not a natural use of communication.
Saying what the other person wants to hear, playing around, telling stories, communicating
emotionally instead of factually, is NATURAL. (Whether you think it's evil is another matter.)
