I just found out that, in some places, locals refer to "power shovels" in contrast to the use of
"shovel" to which I am accustomed, namely as a hand tool.
If you meant "shovel" in a neutral or approving way, my apologies for my earlier statement. If
you meant it in a disapproving or derogatory way, my earlier statement stands.
