Strange I like this song considering I've never liked old music ever.

>Old music
Protip: There is a lot of great music from before you were born. I use to have the same mind set
as you do, and forcing myself to listen to different genres of music really opened up my tastes
to thing I never thought I would have liked.
Listen to a lot of different music, even things you think you might not like; it's good for you.

when I was 10 years old I heard this one song that referred to bossa nova in the lyrics and it
was god awful (but it had nothing to do with the actual genre) so I never actually wanted any of
that ever again
10 years later I was listening to some chill playlist and someone in the comments mentioned this
actually is bossa nova

I've heard of "muh wrong generation" and teen shits not liking the shit that plays on the radio,
but how the fuck do you get the misconception that all old music, going back hundreds of years,
is bad

It's not a conscious thing man; modern music gets all the marketing, so people in their
impressionable age get the sense that only music from the times they've lived in is good, since
nothing else gets advertised. At some point they realize, music from before they're born (Stuff
they've never seen marketed) is actually pretty good. Of course, there is some music that was
made long ago that still gets marketed, but a lot of people get the impression that all music
made before was shit, besides Michael Jackson/The Beatles/whatever else is still marketed as
"Classics."
