Been waiting along time for this to get posted again.
I see it in my dreams.
It really stuck with me for some reason.
Also what animu is this from?
Is it a good one?

How does she handle that recoil? Her posture doesn't brace her at all.

This is it, this is the most retarded reply I've seen on /f/lash. "uhhhghghhsfasdfII I don't know
shit about physics, but I'm going to spout my 3rd grade nonsense at an anime scene!!!" and still
fuck it up

Recoil is based on the mass and the energy imparted on that mass. Consider a coin flying at mach
2, ignoring the obvious aerodynamic limits. A coin doesn't really weigh that much - less than a
parabola bullet, most probably -, therefore it does not take much energy to speed it up,
therefore there won't be much recoil at all.
Not to mention the acceleration here is magnetic magic using the air around the projectile as a
magnetic conductor which is, obviously, pretty bullshit anyway. It would take an enormous amount
of energy to magnetize air.

A Certain Scientific Railgun but the other one is A Certain Magical Index. Watch Railgun first
then Index and rinse and repeat in the order they were released in.

IIRC, her power is to manipulate electrons. Moving electrons (current) create electro-magnetic
fields.

I know that, but moving electrons still takes a lot of energy, especially if they have nowhere to
move through and have non-conductive stuff in the way. And if you did manage it, stripping the
electrons themselves off air would create a huge tube of expanding plasma, while here it's just a
tiny trail.
