That's beautiful.
I bet you could make some interesting patterns by changing the shapes or the random distribution
of shapes. For example removing the symmetry of the shapes (starting the L and J tetromino, or
the N and Z tetromino, in different rotations, or removing one of them or making one less likely
to appear.)
I bet the pattern with nothing by L tetrominos could be interesting.
