By this logic you should ban 90% of this board for having something in common with MLP, it's a
drawn TV show.

/pol/harbor
Before he left, Moot reinstituted captcha-less legacy posting on /pol/, then advertised it on
every other board. The mods were instructed to enforce [s4s]-style moderation, creating random
stickies and word filters as users from the rest of the site flooded in and experimented with
it.. Most notable changes were the change of the name of /pol/ to "8 Steps to cuckholding", the
addition of #fortunes, wordfilters involving dubs and cuck, and every post on the board being
DUBS.
Over a period of 2 weeks (though it may have been longer, I don't remember), every board on 4chan
raided /pol/ in an attempt to steal its 400M get. By the Grace of God, /pol/ managed to take the
400M post for itself.
It was both magnificent and horrifying at once.

An extra couple things were that every post had a scrolling [Trigger Warning] included in it and
moot added an auto-playing youtube video of some girl talking about the 8 steps of cuckholding to
the board.

Basically moot trolled /pol/ in much the manner that he used to troll /b/ but somehow /pol/
figured it was completely different and flipped its shit.

Newfag. /v/ has had several events like that.
And sadly all it has done is brought more newfags like you to the site.
>>3059308
This. It was fun seeing /pol/s retarded userbase get fucking buttmangled over something that has
been happening on 4chan since day0.
This is why [s4s] is the only fun board left, next to /jp/ and here, because we at least know how
to have fun on the 4chinks instead of trying to come here for serious discussion.
Fuck you menchi. Keep your serious discussion on your shitty weeaboo textboard. (i mean that in
the actual sense, I like anime. sadly this needs to be pointed out now thanks to /v/fags)

More or less, yeah.
Sadly more and more in the past few years people have been shitting on it.
A lot of the community have left.
What little creators still left get shit on for using trips or names because newfags and their
NONMUS DICKSUCTION faggotry.
I'd love to see how everyone will react when hiro puts IDs on all boards.
Hopefully a mass exodus of shitposting kiddies to 8fuck where the rest of the little kiddies fled
to.

>>3059363
what would even be the point of putting IDs everywhere you dumb soapboxing retard? Look at /pol/,
or /b/ before it, IDs do absolutely nothing to curb idiotic shitposting.
>> [_] Anonymous 04/10/16(Sun)17:36:10 No.3059370
>>3059365
It dropped the level of shitposting considerably on both boards, actually.
The low-level shitposting is what makes most of these boards shitty to browse.
When that is eliminated, all that is left is shit trolls, trolls, shitposting, funposting and
everything else.
You ARE right, however, IDs are not a single solution.
The other solution is bringing back visible moderation. (and updating it for Janitor features
too, since they can temp-ban)
Let's face it, nobody fucking reads the rules.
This is a problem in most communities.
But when people see someone being visibly banned, it made a much bigger impact.
While bans don't mean shit, it is more the psychological impact on it that matters.
Invisible moderation has never worked. It was deemed a failure a year after it happened, but moot
failed to reverse it because he was cowardly and caved to the shitposters.

At least on this board you'll know a fellow anon will care.
That's honestly the main reason I still come to this site. The anonymity means no faking because
your name is at risk/you gotta stay positive with internet points. Mostly everything people say
is sincere. If someone calls you a faggot they're calling it bad and sometimes give criticism. If
someone calls something you made good you'll know they truly meant it because there is no social
norm saying that you should always compliment someone on something they made, like there is on a
lot of others sites where it's seen as a dick thing to do to be brutally honest.
>> [_] Anonymous 04/10/16(Sun)17:53:37 No.3059384
>>3059383
I've been on plenty of identity-based forums where brutal honesty was welcomed way back in the
late 90s.
I've got no idea what shit communities you went to.

Oh yeah, some places have it, no doubt. Problem with having a name attached to something is
usually that sooner or later, people will start getting special treatment because of it.
Anonymity will always make someone give an unbiased opinion since there is no other factors
you're judging off of.

Yeah, and?
It's called Recognition. Reputation.
If you like something, you will tend to like things in the same area, by the same person, in the
same theme, etc.
It's that thing that happens. In Real Life.
Equally another thing that happens in Real Life is people hate things created by the same person
and go off the author of the work.
Or they might just hate that one piece, and maybe another piece on the future.
Can you actually say why you are against the concept or do you just parrot nonsense by others?
