The soviet union never had a first strike contingency. They didn't want to destroy the lands they
were going to conquer. Only America ever devised firsty strike options, and of all the nuclear
nations, both America's retaliatory and first strike contingencies were the only ones to
deliberately target civilian areas without military cause. The whole idea that Russia or China
could ever be the ones to initiate nuclearm exchange is another cold war myth built up to excuse
America's policies. (Capatalist American here. I just think the whole 'nearly killing ourselves
for no fucking reason whatsoever thing was kind of stupid.) Reserch something called 'Able
